Doesn’t have nearly 100 yard range
The advertised range of 100 yards is no where what it is in reality. I’m lucky to get it to work at 20ft and batteries only last a week or two. This is the second one I’ve bought, and had the same issue both time. My mother in law bought the same one on my recommendation and she has the same issues as I do. I don’t know if the more expensive models have the same issues, but if You need something that will work further that 20 feet don’t get this model.

Thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback, Ben! We do hate to hear that you've have had some range issues with your YardTrainer 105S.

The maximum range for this system is 100 yards. Objects between the remote and collar can reduce this a bit, but it shouldn't be reduced to only 20 feet like you've described.

As far as the batteries are concerned, this system was actually redesigned recently, and rechargeable batteries were one of the changes made.

We want you to have a system that meets your needs, and we will be reaching out privately to see how we can help!

Stopped working all together after 3 months of use
I bought this collar three months ago and it recently just stopped working. Replaced batteries in both remote and collar with correct batteries and continues not to turn on. VERY UNHAPPY with this product.

Would not recommend
It randomly shuts off and does not shock unless im standing next to my dog. It was not the ideal collar for the money I paid.

We're very sorry to hear about the issues that you've begun to experience with your YardTrainer 105S, Aleida! Be sure that both units have a fresh pair of batteries installed and that the batteries installed are 2032 batteries (others, such as CR-2025s or 2016s look almost identical but will not provide the necessary power). If you're still experiencing low range or inconsistent collar activation, don't hesitate to reach out to us at the number 1-800-275-6797 and we'll be more than happy to help find a solution to this problem!
