More Information

The NoBark SBC-18 uses a patented Perfect Bark® sensor system to provide the most reliable bark detection available. The unit delivers a static stimulation via the Contact Points only if it detects BOTH vibration from the vocal cords AND the sound of the bark. External noise or another dog's bark won't trigger a correction. The NoBark SBC-18 provides 6 levels of correction in each of the low, medium, and high stim ranges, for a total of 18 levels. In each stim range, the correction starts at the lowest level and progresses to the next level (to a maximum of 6 levels) each time your dog barks within 30 seconds of the previous bark. If your dog doesn't bark again within 30 seconds, the correction will be reset to the lowest level in that mode. As a built-in safety feature, if your dog barks 15 or more times in 50 seconds, the unit will automatically shut off for 3 minutes.

Absolute junk!
Our Goldendoodle is just over a year old. We purchased an electric fence for him. I installed it, and couldn’t be happier with the product. Based on that success, we went ahead and purchased the NOBARK SBC-18. Do NOT waste your money on this! It does not work. The collard is tight to his skin, it is on the third (strongest) setting, and he barks at will with the occasional correction. Absolute junk!

SportDOG Response:

We're very sorry to hear that your NoBark SBC-18 is not activating consistently, Kenneth! If you have already checked the fit to ensure it is tight on the center of the neck, with both contact points on the collar making consistent contact with the skin, be sure that you are not using the bark control collar along with the in-ground fence receiver collar, as it is possible that they could tap against one another, which can cause feedback inside the collar and cause it to activate when it should not or not activate when it should. If you continue to experience these issues, please give us a call at the number 1-800-275-6797 and we'll be more than happy to help out!

Will never buy another from them
Put it on my dog for 12 hours and went to take it off and she had three holes in her neck from the prongs when I put it on her I had my neighbor who has been using them for years help me so we knew it wasn't to tight I am very unhappy with sport dogs products never buying them again

We are very sorry to hear that this has happened to your dog, Dakota! We do hope that she is doing well and recovering quickly. As pet owners ourselves, we use and trust our products and never want a pet to be injured while using them.

The injuries you are seeing may be caused by a condition called pressure necrosis. Pressure necrosis happens primarily when a collar is left on too tight, too loose where the contact points are rubbing and/or for long periods of time (no more than 8-12 hours per day; however this condition can occur with less use). The pressure of the collar restricts the blood flow through the affected area of skin. If the pressure is not alleviated within a reasonable amount of time, the tissue will suffer from blood loss and begin to deteriorate.

When pressure necrosis occurs, the first step is to remove the collar. If caught in the early stages, it appears like an irritation or rash; the area will need to be kept clean and dry. Trimming the hair around the area is also recommended. Check the neck several times a day until the irritation clears up completely.

Please know that we take situations such as this very seriously and would very much like to speak with you and help out in any way we can. Please give us a call at the number 1-800-275-6797.

Good Warranty
This was a great bark collar until recently when the dial came off. I called to check on a warranty, and they let me know it would be replaced free of charge.

Excellent service!
