great but just won't hold a charge
I purchased this to use for correcting our juvenile delinquent dog. (Bulldog/walker Dog mix) I charged it exactly as instructed the full 24 hours. The product was great at first, it works the full 300 yards and would tone/static anytime I pressed the button. However after about 2 months it won't hold a charge. I tried recharging 24 hours and it will beep then flash red then go dead. I exchanged at Gander Mountain. Same thing again on 2nd. I am now on my 3rd try with this product. Same thing happened again. ***I contacted Customer Service and spoke to them about the problem. After providing my proof of purchase they placed an order immediately to replace it. I am currently waiting on it to be delivered. Thank you for listening and coming to a resolution. I will update my review on how the replacement does.

I am sorry to read that you have had trouble with the SD-350, please ensure that the battery is only being charged as needed when the red indicator light shows low battery. Great product and Excellent Customer Service
We purchased the Sport Dog 350 YardTrainer about 7 months ago for our hard headed Chocolate Lab puppy. It was the best investment ever!! After only having to use the "shock" feature a couple of times before she finally caught on, we now only have to use the "alert" function and she will stop whatever it is that she shouldn't be It has been a great training tool and there are days that if she doesn't have the collar on, I only have to even pick it up and show it to her and she knows what it is and will stop whatever she is doing because she doesn't want me to put it on her!

However, to our dismay, about a week ago, the collar and remote stopped "reading" eachother. We tried to reset it with no luck, and then realized that unfortunately we didn't save the receipt! My husband seems to save receips for EVERYTHING else...but didn't save this one...go figure!!! So then I went into panic mode thinking we were going to have to go out and by another $150 collar!

I called Customer Service today expecting them to tell me there was nothing they could do for us since I did not have the receipt...but I was wrong! The gentleman that I spoke to in customer service was very helpful, walked me through the process again of trying to reset and when it did not work, he said that it sounds like the remote has stopped transmitting, gave me some reasons as to why it would have stopped working, and that they are going to send me a replacement as a one time courtesy even though I did not have the receipt!

He explained that if anything were to happen in the future, since I don't have the receipt, that I would have to pay a replacement fee, but that if I paid for the collar originally with a credit card, that I could go back and pull my bank statement, find that purchase from Tractor Supply and they could possibly use that instead of the receipt.

All in all we are very pleased with the product and pleased with the EXCELLENT customer service!

Very pleased
I was very pleased with the yard trainer it worked great for me! I am going to get the waterfowl collar when the season rolls around!
